During the drive home from the beach Saturday there was an interesting tiny phenomenon.
I saw a small sign posted beside a gate, and the text looked like some strange alien characters. Not only that, though, but the bizarre inscription seemed to be affecting my consciousness in some way. For maybe a second (maybe less) it seemed that I couldn't focus my eyes on the sign, like a kind of dizziness making me want to shake my head to rattle things into place.
Then, all of a sudden, I realized at a single moment that it said "3376" and that it said "GLEE" (more like "gLEE") upside-down. There was nothing special about the font. It was a very clear generic "3376".
